About Us

About Us (Hank & Dale)

Two Guys. One Mission. Less Sweating.

Some friendships start in childhood.

Some start in college.

Ours started in a Walmart parking lot in Arizona… during a heat wave so brutal a bag of ice melted before we made it back to the RV.

It was 112°F.

Neither of our air conditioners were working.

And that’s where the problem began.

The Day We Met

One of us was laying on the pavement under a fifth wheel trying to figure out why a rooftop unit sounded like a blender full of rocks.

The other was standing nearby holding a multimeter and muttering things about “bad capacitors” and “whoever designed this thermostat clearly hated humanity.”

We made eye contact.

Someone said, “Your AC dead too?”

Five minutes later we were sharing tools.

Ten minutes later we were pulling the same Coleman unit apart.

Twenty minutes later we were sitting in camping chairs drinking warm beer because neither fridge was working well either.

That’s when the real conversation started.

The Real Problem

It turns out RV air conditioners fail at the worst possible moments:

  • In the desert
  • In Florida
  • In Texas
  • Anywhere between June and October
  • Or basically anytime you actually need them

And when they fail, the parts you need are somehow:

  • Backordered
  • Discontinued
  • Mislabeled
  • Or hiding somewhere deep inside a confusing parts diagram.

We spent the next few hours fixing both rigs.

By sunset, both AC units were humming again and the inside of our RVs had dropped from “surface of the sun” to “livable for humans.”

That's when the idea hit us.

What If Someone Actually Stocked Everything?

Not just the obvious stuff.

We’re talking everything:

  • Capacitors
  • Control boards
  • Thermostats
  • Shrouds
  • Fan motors
  • Gaskets
  • Sensors
  • Compressors
  • Weird little parts no one can identify until the AC is already apart on the roof

The kind of parts you only discover you need after you've removed fourteen screws and said a few regrettable things about engineers.

The RV AC Guys Were Born

Somewhere between a fourth warm beer and the desert sunset, we decided:

If RVers were going to survive summer… someone needed to take air conditioning seriously.

Really seriously.

Like “carry thousands of parts so no one has to sweat through another night in a parking lot” seriously. And "make sense of model schematics that are 50 pages long" seriously.

So we started RVACGuys.com.

A store dedicated to one simple mission:

Helping RVers stay cool wherever the road takes them.

Why We’re Different

We don’t just sell these parts.

We live with them.

We’ve replaced capacitors in campground gravel.
We’ve diagnosed bad fan motors in Walmart parking lots.
We’ve climbed onto RV roofs at sunrise just to beat the heat.

Because when your air conditioner stops working…

it stops being a small problem really fast.

Our Philosophy

RV life is about freedom.

Freedom to explore.
Freedom to wander.
Freedom to wake up somewhere new.

But that freedom gets a lot less fun when it’s 95°F inside your rig at midnight.

So we built a store around one simple belief:

Adventure should be hot. Your RV shouldn’t be.

And Yes… Our ACs Work

These days our rigs run cold enough that you might actually want a sweatshirt.

But we keep a few spare capacitors around anyway.

Old habits die hard.
